Feeling the let down

Well, all the presents have been opened, Daddy has gone back to work, and the house is officially a disaster area! Today is definitely a let down...at least for Mommy. It is always a little sad to me, after all the weeks of preparation, the day after Christmas, everything goes back to normal. No more anticipating what might be in your packages, no more looking forward to time spent with family, and now the "santa is watching and he might not stop at your house if you don't straighten up right now" threat doesn't pack quite as much punch. Oh well...we had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Sunday the 23rd and Monday the 24th with family and yesterday, Christmas day, at home with the kids. They are very pleased with all of their gifts and the newness hasn't worn off yet, they are very entertained right now (ask me again tomorrow and it may be a different story). So, it is ok that the house is basically one big play room and we are all still in our pajamas at noon...it is the day after Christmas!
