Happy Anniversary Honey!

In less than two hours my husband and I will have been married for 10 years. Ten years has brought a lot of changes, a lot of experiences, a lot of happiness, a lot of trials, and a lot of children (or so it seems some days :) None of which would I trade one second of. Thank you sweetie for the last ten years! Can't wait to see what the next ten bring!
I LOVE YOU!!

Christmas at the Wilson's

Here is what sits just outside the door
My Grandpa's sled from when he was a boy
See that snow on the wreath...that's not just for looks...it's real

Now that your in, turn to your right,
down the hall is my little caroler girl serenading us with Christmas carols from the window

At the end of the hall is the boys room
This is their tree (decorated by J7)
and the nutcracker (their favorite decoration)
This little tree used to sit on Great Grandma's sewing machine in my kitchen with kitchen ornaments on it-very cute-but that spot is now filled with Jason's schoolwork/homework desk (you will get a shot of that in all it's glory later) but the tree is bringing much pleasure in it's new location of the boys room.
Back in the living room now-Here is a cute little frame with a picture of 3 cute kiddo's
(it says Santa's Sweetest Gift)
In the background you can see the glimpse of the fore mentioned homework/schoolwork desk.
My kitchen window...see all that white stuff outside? BRRRRR!
Here is the top of my entertainment center which is the display for my nativity. I love these pieces and there was a third piece that I never got and now it is no longer made.
It is stickers...not paint like my husband thought when he first came home after I had put them up. He thought I had painted the words on the wall so that I might hurry the living room painting process along...good idea...I should have thought of that!
My kids stockings (made by my Grandma) (Also, please notice the twiggy, sparkly, thingies around the top of the tree, under the angel, because the angel deserved a little more bling I thought)
Princess5's new ornament from Graman Angel Princess

My oldest baby when he was in preschool

My newest ornament - fat Santa-cute but in a not too cute sorta way -I love him!

One of my favorites...precious moments "The Light of The World"

Remember earlier this summer when I showed you this picture of our wood pile?

well, here it is today...G-O-N-E

Weekend fun!

putting up our Christmas tree. This year the kids really enjoyed looking at each of their ornaments and putting them on the tree themselves.
J3 putting on his ornaments
J7 precisely placing his
The princess...
Here are her ornaments after I made her spread them out on the tree a little...before they were all hanging on top of each other
I am glad they enjoyed it. And they think the tree looks beautiful. That's all that matters!

US...in one word
Remember when I said the next two years were gonna be like this...?

Well.....the first few months have seemed to prove me right.
Here is what our weeks consist of -
School (subbing for me), School (teaching for Jason), School (classes two nights a week for me), School (online classes for Jason), School (2nd grade for J7), School (preschool for L5), after School study halls for Jason, homework for my School, homework for Jason's online School, 2nd grade School homework for j7, grading School homework papers from Jason's students, preparing School lessons for Jason, washing and ironing clothes to wear to School for the 4 people in our house going to School, making sure backpacks, bags, lunch boxes, lunch money and any notes that need signed are ready to go to School every day.
Are you seeing a pattern here?
Our lives seem to be revolving around school right now.
Then of course there is work all weekend long in St. Joe for Jason and catching up around the house for the kids and I, church Sunday morning and Wednesday evening , Dr.'s appointments, dentist appointment's (L5 had some dental surgery at Children's mercy last week and did wonderfully...much better than anticipated by her always optimistic mother :), committee meetings, Courtney's basketball games are about to begin, J7 is going to play b-ball in a kids town league on Saturday morning's in December, preparing for Christmas (still trying to budget by the way...although the last couple of months have been tough on our budget process because we have been so hectic just finding time to sit down and do it is a problem...but Christmas gifts will be purchased with all cash this year for those of you who are fellow Dave Ramsey groupies and might be curious how we are doing that way {isn't it exciting shopping with cash!}, and then there is just trying to remain in a halfway sane state of mind. Whew!!! That is a job in itself!
We have alot of help from our family and we have great kids who are a lot of help in this very hectic time of our lives! These last few months have just flown by and I am sure the following months will as well!
These are the reasons my postings here are scarce and I do apologize. I will try to do better because I really do enjoy posting here and I hope you all enjoy hearing about what is going on with us!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! (and J3 is wishing you Feliz Navidad already...he is signing it and it is sooo cute-take my word for it)
With Love,
The Wilson's
p.s. I promise to get some pictures of us on here this week also!

Keeping The Main Thing The Main Thing
OUR FOCUS
Jesus is the Gift is a movement that focuses on and honors Jesus as the ultimate gift. We encourage Christians to celebrate Him by tying a ribbon around a cross as a visual reminder of His sacrifice. We also challenge believers to engage in gift giving as a loving act of ministry and reflection of Jesus rather than a chore or obligation.
Our goal is not to discourage the many wonderful aspects of the Christmas season but to redeem giving, decorating, and celebrating in a way that brings “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14 KJV).
