~1st of all - update on daddy's car- (you know, the one I hit a deer with) it is fixed to the point that - it is drivable now...it doesn't look too pretty but it gets you from point A to point B so that is all we ask...and we didn't have to spend any money on it. A friend of daddy's from work pounded out the hood so that it latches and we called it good! It is an old beater but it is our paid for old beater!! ~

Here was (notice I said was) our short term plan---Daddy would continue working the 2 full time jobs until our last debt (not including the house) was paid for...Hopefully before the end of the year. Then he would quit working in St. Joe on the weekends and only work one full time job, driving to the city every day...

Here is a pointer for ya---don't try to plan out your life and then fill God in on it---it just doesn't work that way!!!

My dear husband is a very analytical person, very mathematical, wants everything cut and dry and really loves to budget (This is why he is the "nerd" {Dave's term, not mine} of our marriage). He gets a little buzz off of everything coming out just right on paper.

This is probably the reason he was offered another job opportunity this week...because he is a math whiz (this is also the reason I got an A in my math class this summer). He was offered a job as a full time substitute high school math teacher while the regular teacher is on medical leave. He would start at the beginning of school and stay at least until Christmas. He would be making a pretty reasonable salary and his classes would only be every other day so he would still work in KC on the days he is not teaching. He is very excited by this possibility (especially the part about only having to drive to the city every other day) but also has some fear. He would like to quit working his weekend job and be home with his family and be able to go to church as a family again (which we think must be God's will for us) but this weekend job also has the BEST IMAGINABLE health insurance (Excellent coverage and CHEAP!) which is very, very important to us with Princess4's health history. So thinking about trying to find health coverage for her somewhere else is a very scary thought for us. And when Mr. Math Whiz tries to figure out our budget on paper with only the income from the school and a paycheck from working every other day in K.C., it just isn't working out! Sooo.....we are asking for your prayers on this matter. Pray that God will give Jason discernment over these decisions so that we will be in His will. We know God is in control and we feel VERY BLESSED to be having this "problem" if you want to call it that! We have 3 good jobs to choose from and so many people don't have the opportunity for 1 good job.

Just when you think you have it all figured out.... Maybe this is why God has been throwing us these curve balls lately-the car-the job opportunity out of nowhere-He is trying to say...OK GUYS! You are just going to have to trust me on this one...I have a plan! Life doesn't always work out just perfect on paper but we know that through Him all things are possible!

You need to ask J how we prayed in SS today for your car/money to pay for car to be fixed today. (Our story was about Elisha and the widow's jar of oil.) If you haven't told him how it was fixed for free-- you need to tell him how God answered his prayer.

And tell him to keep praying!!!! :)
