Stolen Pictures

Here are some Easter pictures I stole from Gram!

See...I told you they were adorable! Cheesy grins and all

With the Ray Cousins-this picture was on our first try and it turned out so good we just quit while we were ahead!

Coloring the whites of the deviled eggs for Easter dinner before Gram fills them...they were very pretty...almost too pretty to eat...almost!

Sorry...that's all she wrote folks. Maybe next Easter I will get more pictures???

Easter Weekend

Hi all!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend, hope you all can say the same as well! The cousins (including the new baby) were here for a couple days so we had a great time playing, coloring Easter eggs, watching movies, eating candy, blowing bubbles, and ended with a egg hunt before they headed home Saturday afternoon. Yesterday we went to church together as a family, including daddy, which was wonderful since he rarely gets to go with us because he is working. Then we ate lunch with my family at my uncle and aunt's house and had another egg hunt. My kids have enough candy to last 10 children until next Easter! It was a nice weekend, the weather was a little cold yesterday but we were still able to go outside for a while. Here is the sad news...I DIDN'T TAKE ONE PICTURE ALL WEEKEND! I still don't have a camera and I didn't think to use my phone. My kids looked adorable yesterday (if I do say so myself) but I guess you will just have to take my word for it, sorry! I did take a picture with my moms camera yesterday right after church so maybe I can steal one of those to share.

Daddy had to go back to work today but the kids and I are home. J6 spent the night with g'ma and papa last night and is "helping" papa this morning. It probably is actually more work for papa than help but it will be nice for j6 to get to spend some time with him. princess4 is playing house and j2 and I are trying to work on potty training (reluctantly I might add on both our parts). I really don't think he is quite ready but I am giving it a go...after alot of encouragement by daddy...in order to cross diapers off the list of things purchased with the grocery money. We aren't making too big of a deal about it yet, just trying to spend a little time in big boys and sitting on the potty when we are home and have time. It never hurts to try, right!

This time last year daddy and I were in Texas enjoying the warm sunshine and the beautiful sights! We flew into San Antonio and spent a couple of days at the river walk then drove to daddy's grandparents winter place and spent a day visiting them then on to Corpus Christi where we stayed right on the beach and it was amazing....let me tell you!!! It was a wonderful trip we will never forget and I am having fun looking at the pictures we took and remembering how beautiful it was! I did have a camera then and can share a few pictures of that with you.

I just keep thinking warm thoughts and I know spring time weather is just around the corner and will be here to stay before long! but for now...we are cutting more firewood when daddy gets home. ugh! If I start to complain about being hot this summer someone remind me of all the wood I am not having to cut!!!

The King on a Cross

Then they crucified Him and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulflled which was spoken by the prophet: "They divided My garmets among them, And my clothing they cast lots." Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS
THE KING OF THE JEWS

Matthew 27:35-37

Praise God!

We are soooo excited for our friends the Hanson's http://www.hansonadoption.blogspot.com/ they just received word that they can finally go get their adopted son from the orphanage in Haiti and bring him HOME!!! We have prayed for this little boy ever since they have known they were going to adopt him and have already fallen in love with him through email updates and pictures even though we have yet to meet him. Please pray for travel mercies as the Hanson's leave Sunday and return Thursday. Pray for their new son as he is bonding with his parents for the first time and as he adjusts to his new home.

randomness

Hey all,
Not a lot to update you on. This has been a busy week but not much interesting to report on. I subbed 3 days this week, Wednesday princess4 had her check up with her oncologist (nothing to report on yet...they are supposed to call with the results...I keep hoping it is them every time the phone rings), we went to the Ramsey class Tuesday night, AWANA Wed. night, and cut some more fire wood last night to get ready for the snow they are saying may be headed our way again. We have enjoyed the warmer weather and tried to play outside every chance we could. j6's big news is -they are preparing to put on the three little pigs opera this spring at school and they chose parts yesterday and guess what??? - he gets to play the part of the big bad wolf - which, as everyone knows, is the coolest part! So you can bet we will be hearing a lot of huffing and puffing and blowing your house down around here for a while! He is also very excited because his birthday just so happens to fall on his class field trip! How exciting is that??!!? So he will get to celebrate his birthday at school the day before, which also just happens to be his day to bring show and tell. Could life possibly get any better????
(j6 and his "gotta be in every picture" sister at a ball game a few weeks ago)
princess4 is on cloud 9 because big brother brought home the summer ball forms and she has been waiting a whole year to sign up for t-ball. Mostly because last year daddy promised her he would get her a pink ball helmet like j6's black one when she started t-ball. The girl loves to accessorize what can I say!
So we will have 1 kid in t-ball and 1 in k-ball (where they use pitching machines) this year and boy am I glad daddy is going to be at home (although I am sure home is a place we will see very little of until ball is over) during the evenings to help get them to practices and games!
( j2 in "big boys" but not happy about it)
j2 has been busy just being 2 and finding new ways to make a mess and has spent a great deal of time terrorizing the dog. I will say ta ta for now and will let you know when we get results back from princess4 tests!
